My first experience with astronomy was when I was 8. I had a dictionary at the time, with nebulae, stars, galaxies of so many different colours my brain had no choice but to acquiesce to the desire to learn. Crying over a short film of the Hayabusa-2 probe and surfing through the sparsely-populated wikipedia articles of dozens of exoplanets still remain one of my fondest memories, where each new click of the ChromeBook opened a door to a far-flung world.

However, as an 8-year old in the big city, I just wasn’t aware that the dark skies that once enthralled me were a mere hour by car, not until High School, when I took my first photo of the moon through a telescope.

This is why I remain interested in astrophysics. I want to learn more about the miracle of life, and teach those beginning their astronomical odysseys the tips and tricks I learned along the way.

I am open to work/volunteering as a research assistant/astronomy advocate. Please contact me at if you find me a good fit for said work. I prefer doing work in exoplanets, if any such opportunities arise.

Skills

Programming:

  • Python
  • CSS/TailwindCSS
  • HTML
  • LaTeX

I am also in the process of learning Rust.

Science Writing:

  • I run a physics Notes site, MindNiche, and have a personal astronomy-bites website, TheSpacer. Will likely be pursuing some form of partnership with Wolfram/AAPS soon for the former, at the very least.

Graphics:

  • I make graphics for my personal projects, which you can find here and here. I am open to positions where I will have to make and design posters. See Features for more.

  • In addition, I draw my own XKCD-like comics for MindNiche. Feel free to give criticism!
